IMPORTANT NOTE: Due to the COVID-19 pandemic and associated travel restrictions, the deployment of the LAW LST stations have been delayed, except for the KIT Forest station which has been deployed and is acquiring data since August 2020. The installation of Svatberget, Hyytiälä and Robson Creek sites has been performed around October 2021. The installation at Dahra site (Senegal) - initialy selected - has been cancelled and replaced by a deployment on Puéchabon site (France) in October 2021.

This site is a CEOS Land Validation Supersite run by the Swedish Agricultural University. This site is classified as biome 9 (open needleleaved deciduous or evergreen forest) in the ALB2 classification. It has a relatively short summer (growing season of 150 days/year) and permanent snow cover during winter (170 days/year).
Numerous instruments are currently deployed at this station and provides air pressure and temperature data; precipitation and snow depth; water vapor
